5 Reasons Why Clean Carpet is Essential for Commercial Workplaces

A healthy and productive office starts from the ground up - with your carpet. These silent workhorses do more than cushion your steps; they can impact health, morale, and your bottom line. Here’s why professional carpet cleaning is something that should not be overlooked:

1. Happier Employees: Carpet is essentially a huge filter for allergens, dust, and bacteria that can significantly impact your indoor air quality. Regular professional carpet cleaning keeps these at a minimum, contributing to a healthier staff, potentially fewer sick days and happier workers.

2. First Impressions Count: Dirty or smelly carpet reflects poorly on your company, potentially deterring clients. Clean carpet projects professionalism and attention to detail, enhancing your brand’s image.

3. Heightened Morale and Productivity: A pristine workplace makes employees feel valued and more satisfied with their job, which can lead to higher productivity. It's not just about appearance; it's more about showing your staff they are worth the investment.

4. Cost-Effective Maintenance: Routine cleaning extends your carpet’s life span, which protects your investment. Dirt and foot traffic wear down carpet fibers, and neglected carpet may need early replacement.

5. Specialized Care for Busy Areas: Different areas in your office require different maintenance. Professional cleaners provide customized treatments to ensure all sections of your office, especially high-traffic areas, are uniformly clean and protected.

Professional concrete cleaning for driveway, walkway or patio

Concrete cleaning

If you're looking to improve the appearance of your home or business, one of the most effective ways to do so is by investing in professional concrete and driveway cleaning services. Over time, these surfaces accumulate dirt, grime, and other stains, making them look dull and unappealing. However, with the right cleaning techniques and equipment, a professional cleaning service can restore your concrete and driveway to their former glory, leaving them looking clean and inviting again.

One of the biggest advantages of professional concrete and driveway cleaning is that it can remove even the toughest stains and blemishes. Whether you're dealing with oil and grease stains, rust, or other types of discoloration, a professional cleaning service can use powerful pressure washing equipment and specialized cleaning solutions to eliminate them. Beyond just using cleaning products and high pressure water, we also use mechanical agitation with a hard bristle brush to break apart the really tough soils. In additional to outdoor areas such as driveways, we can clean concrete around an indoor pool (as seen in the video above) or other indoor areas without the risk of water splashing everywhere like you would get from a traditional pressure washer.

Finally, professional concrete or driveway cleaning can also improve the overall curb appeal of your property. A clean, well-maintained driveway and concrete surfaces can make a strong first impression on visitors, adding value to your home or business. Additionally, regular cleaning can help prevent damage and deterioration over time, which can save you money in the long run by reducing the need for costly repairs or replacements.

If you are looking for a simple and effective way to improve the appearance and safety of your property, consider investing in professional concrete and driveway cleaning services. With the right techniques and equipment, a professional cleaning service can deliver impressive results, leaving your walkway, driveway or patio looking clean and well-maintained for years to come.

Air Duct Cleaning video

Amongst our team, we often talk about how air duct and dryer vent cleaning are the two “invisible” services we offer. With carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning and other services we do, one can watch in real time or see the difference before and after very easily. But when it comes to cleaning ducts, it’s a bit trickier to show a visual representation of our work. Here’s a short video showing all the debris that our vacuum, in conjunction with our air compressor, was pulling out of a customer’s ducts!

What is the best method for air duct cleaning?

Perhaps even more so than our other services, air duct cleaning is a service that is unfortunately full of gimmicks and imitators, rather than high quality service providers. There are most certainly other high quality companies in the Snohomish County and King County regions other than us, but there are also many companies using inferior equipment or methods.

The best way to clean air ducts is with negative air and compressed air. Negative air is created by hooking up a large vacuum (pictured below) directly to the furnace to pull debris out while using compressed air tools at each individual vent to push the debris back toward the vacuum. The other advantage this method has is that it allows the technician to clean the furnace itself and fully clean the main trunk line, rather than just cleaning the “branches” that lead from the main trunk to the vents. This follows the Nation Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) standards for duct cleaning.

Examples of inferior systems include ones that hook up the vacuum to each vent, as this means the main trunk line is not being cleaned. Another common method is using a brush system that has no large vacuum attached to it. In this case, it’s essentially just a spinning brush and a shop vac, which provides far less effective cleaning than our 5000 CFM vacuum.

Should I seal my tile grout?

This is another very common question we get- “Should I seal the grout between my tiles?” or “Should I seal my natural stone?”

The answer is the same, in almost every case: yes. Virtually the only time where sealing grout is not beneficial is if you have epoxy grout, as it never needs to be sealed. Otherwise, it’s highly likely that you have cementitious grout, which is comprised of cement and sand. Over time soil, especially acidic soils (particularly around a toilet or in a shower), will eat away at the grout, causing damage. Having a proper sealant on/in the grout will help protect it from breaking down over time.

So what type of sealer should be used? Rather than the inexpensive spray on sealers you can purchase at a big box store, we used penetrating sealers that soak down into the grout (or stone) and protect them from the inside out. These also last much longer than topical sealers and don’t wear off as quickly with foot traffic.

How often should I seal grout? It depends largely on where the tile/grout is located. In high traffic or high moisture areas, it should be done more often.

  • General rule: every 1-4 years

  • In showers or other high moisture areas: 1-2 years

  • In high traffic areas such as kitchens, hallways, and entryways: 1-3 years

  • In low traffic/low moisture areas (walls, rooms that hardly get used): 2-4 years

Can grout that has been damaged be salvaged? Possibly. If it’s slight damage from wear over time, we may be able to correct it with acid etching. However, if it’s severely damaged, it would require a company that can repair and regrout those areas.

See below the kind of transformation we can do to tile and grout!
