Residue free carpet cleaning
We clean for health first and appearance second. That’s what we always say, because it accurately reflects the proper priorities with cleaning. Of course we want your carpet, upholstery, tile, and area rugs to look better, but most of all, we want to create a more healthy environment for you, your family, your pets, and your coworkers.
So you’ve probably heard about “residue free” carpet cleaning (other common terms include free rinsing, chemical free, water only, etc.). What does this really mean? What it should mean is simple- any cleaning agents used during the carpet cleaning process are thoroughly rinsed out to ensure no harmful residue is left behind (also because an alkaline residue will make the carpet re-soil faster). What companies want you to think it means is that they don’t use any chemicals, but unfortunately, they’re not being honest when they make this claim. Water itself is a chemical, so what does someone mean when they say “No chemicals, we only use water?” It means they likely don’t understand the chemistry of cleaning properly, and they could actually be harming your carpet, voiding your carpet warranty, or various other things.
We use completely safe, non-toxic, pet and kid friendly products, as well as a safe rinsing agent as our last step to ensure that the pH of our cleaning agents gets properly neutralized and rinsed out. That way we leave your carpet at a neutral pH which not only provides effective cleaning results, but also a healthier environment for you!
As you can see in the photos below, we can even do deep cleaning of pet stains in carpet and still rinse thoroughly to ensure we remove all urine deposits and cleaners used in the process. Fortunately, we live in a time where it’s possible to use safe, non-harsh products that still do a great job cleaning!
