Cleaning Specialty Area Rugs

Area rugs are one of the most diverse items that we work on. Fortunately, we have the method to clean virtually any rug, whether it is an inexpensive synthetic rug from Target, a wool rug from a home goods store, an expensive silk rug, or any variance of handmade rugs from places like Turkey, China and India. Part of the joy of having a dedicated rug shop is that we get to see beautiful rugs from all around the world, some of which tell a story and give us insight into history! We see rugs like these as art, and it’s an honor for us to be able to not only see them, but properly clean them so they will last for years to come.

The photo below shows an example of our dedication to rug cleaning. This is a handmade Moroccan rug with a very problematic ink spill, which our cleaning technician Alex is working on tirelessly to remove it without damaging the fiber or stripping the color and dyes from the rug itself. It’s a very specialized, time-consuming process that most even professional carpet cleaners are not set up to do.

For our rug cleaning shop, we offer free pick up and delivery or 20% off if you bring the rugs in and pick them up. Contact us at 206-801-0161 if there’s anything we can do for your rugs!
