When it comes to carpet cleaning methods, our customers in the Edmonds and surrounding areas often wonder which is best. There are hot water extraction methods (like we use), dry carpet cleaning, bonnet cleaning, shampooing, etc. Most times the concern is whether wet or dry cleaning is better.
Hot water extraction cleaning is recommended by most carpet manufacturers. In fact, many of them will void your carpet warranty if you have any other method of cleaning done. The reason is because hot water extraction, or steam cleaning as it’s often referred to, is the most thorough way to clean, and helps your carpet last longer. Rather than using highly chemical compounds like dry cleaning, steam carpet cleaning allows us to use the hot water and vacuum power to extract the dirty soil from your carpet, upholstery, or tile, thus leaving it clean and free of soil.
