Why we do proposals instead of estimates

Have you ever had an “estimate” done for a project, only to receive the invoice and find the cost to be higher? I certainly hope not, and I can assure you that you will not have that experience with Sno-King Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning. Words are very important, and there is a big reason why we use the word “proposal” instead of “estimate.” An estimate is just that: an educated guess of what the cost is going to be. Sometimes it can end up being less but often times the final cost is more. A proposal is an offer for service at a specified cost. This way, you can proceed confidently, knowing that the work proposed will all be completed at the agreed upon price. In addition to ensuring that our clients are clear on the exact price before performing the work, we offer free in-home and on-site proposals for both residential and commercial clients. So whether you are in Edmonds, Seattle, or another part of Snohomish or King County, we will come out on our dime and do an inspection for you. By doing this, we can evaluate the situation, whether it be carpet, upholstery, or tile and grout. Then we can give you an exact price. If the cleaning takes longer or is more involved than expected, we will not charge you any more than we initially promised. Whether it is with us, a construction company, or anyone else, always be sure to be as specific as possible with the price of a service so you don’t get a surprise bill in the mail!
